GMP Kratom and AKA Qualification: What They Mean
Those initials appear on a lot of packaging. Here’s what to check before treating them as a seal of approval.
What does GMP stand for?
GMP means good manufacturing practices. The AKA’s voluntary program sets requirements for manufacturing, documentation, labeling, and independent audits. That tells you about a business’s processes. It isn’t a clinical test of the products it sells.
What doesn’t qualification promise?
The AKA says qualification isn’t an endorsement of a vendor’s products. It also isn’t FDA approval or a guarantee of effects or safety. Keep the facility’s qualification and the lab report for your batch as two separate checks.
Check whose name is on the listing
Ask which business holds the qualification and what it covers. Look up that business on the program’s current vendor list. A reseller carrying a qualified supplier’s material hasn’t necessarily earned the same qualification itself.
How we describe our sourcing
Our sourcing language refers to GMP-certified, AKA GMP-qualified suppliers. It doesn’t mean Kratom Stash itself holds those supplier qualifications. If you want to know more about a particular purchase, ask us about the supplier information and the matching batch report.
